Hey i just got a 86 toyota pickp 4wd and i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to start converting this into a prerunner but still street legal?

 

Get a set of spindles from a 90-95 4runner 2WD. Then just delete all the 4x4 stuff and viola.

If you are talking about lift/super flexy suspension, try total chaos.

 

x2 on the total chaos suggestion. lil pricey, but they have some awesome setups.

id keep it 4wd tho... ???

 

yeah i checked out the total chaos it may be a little expensive but i'm going to keep looking for a kit. Does anyone know any sites that have some good bumpers i've been looking but can't really find any

 

iirc, you don't even have to go with the 2wd spindles just leave the outer cv up in the spindle and remove the axle and driveshaft. my opinion would be to just leave the 4wd stuff in there and go long travel, downey if you're not pressing it too hard or total chaos if you're gonna be flying the dunes at glamis.
for bumpers google marlin crawler, but keep in mind the rear bumper obstructs the rear license plate and would be technically illegal to install unless you relocate your plate out from behind the bumper.
