swapping different year cabs on 2wd truck??

swapping different year cabs on 2wd truck??
Ive got an 88 2wd off road truck that has a smashed up cab. Im going to be caging it but dont want to put a nice cage in a junk cab. Question i have is will the newer body style(early 90s) cabs fit(body mount position wise)? also im asumming the 2wd and 4wd are pretty much the same cab, correct?

It will require some fabrication on the mounts. Body lines won't match up, but I don't think thats an issue 
The 2wd and 4wd are the same cab, the tranny cutout might be a little smaller though.
