22R-E new oil pump. Where do I go for oil pressure?
Just buttoning up a new head, timing, oil and water pump job.
Where does one hook up a mechanical oil pressure gauge for the initial start?
And what kind of pressure should I expect to see?
I hate to get flamed too hard but I didn't do the petrolium jelly prime thing either, I was thinking about pouring some STP or something down the oil pump PRV orfice (with the spring and ball removed). Any reason why this wouldn't help prime the pump?
Thanks

70 lbs? really? sounds a bit high to me.
I'd expect around 30 cold and about 15-20 hot.
I hear there's a pressure relief valve that opens at around 65 psi.
