leaking oil from head on 20r

i just rebuilt my 1979 20r(crank kit with new rods) and when i started it i had oil just pouring out from just below and to the rear of the fuel pump and at the rear corner on same side between the head and block. engine ran fine before rebuild with no oil leak and yes it was a new gasket i put in and torqued to proper spec., this is not my first rebuild but i just dont know why it is leaking. the truck ran low on oil pressure and spun a rod bearing. it is in a trail vehicle and was back in a trail when oil pressuse went out so i drove it on out ... anyone know what could be causing it to pour that much oil out ?????? ...... good part was hit the key and fired up and ran like a top....LOL
