doing my 3rd tomorrow questions....

ok im going to be doing my 3rd tomorrow at work and i have a few questions about doing so.... i think i have it all figured out but if im wrong please tell me and let me know if im right on this

-drain fliud
-drop shaft
-jack up
-take tires off
-drums
-unbolt axles and pull out a few inches
-unblot 3rd and drop


to install is the same as taking out...is this right? or am i missing a few things do i need to shim anything when i put it back together or no?

you'll usually have to undo your hard brake lines from the drum, as well as the e-brake cable. its a minor issue, but i thought i'd through it in. just dont forget to bleed them after.

also a good time to do wheel bearings.......wink wink

Well #1, make sure the fill plug isn't frozen before you start; if you can't fill it back up there's no reason to drain it.

#2 you don't have to remove the drums to pull the axles out enough to clear the third, you will have to un-hook the E-brake cable from the clips on the frame & that's all, you don't even have to undo them from the axle assembly
