gas mileage for tacomas

What kind of mileage are you guys getting with double cabs and extened cab tacomas? I thinking of selling my trucks to get a nicer pickup.

I average just about the same in "city" driving (but no heavy traffic luckily). 17-18mpg. The best I have ever done is on a road trip last year all highway, 20mpg, even with the A/C on and camping gear in the bed.

My truck still has the stock tire size 265/70R16, and the only engine mod is a AEM intake. I have noticed a slight increase in gas mileage with the new intake, but nothing incredible. I have 61,000 miles on the Taco.

Around 18~19 in the city and 20 the most in open highway. Not much big different between city/highway. A big gas eater especially with $4.00 per gallon.

2003 v6 double cab, 17-18 mixed driving, best ever when checking was 20.5 mpg on a trip to upstate NY. Anyone saying much more for the same truck is full of poo IMO.
