3.0L woes

Ok so heres my problem, my truck got a rod knock so I dropped the pan and replaced the rod bearings, I also decided to do the mains and thrust washers at the same time. So I put all the new bearings in and put the main caps back on and torque it down. I try to turn the motor over by hand (just to be sure everything is good) and it wont move. long story short the thrust washers are binding against something. Ive tryed the new ones, the old ones and some from a spare block I have, but its the same thing, it wont turn. Its only when it is torqued too. If I loosen the caps off it turns fine. I sure hope someone out there in yotatech land can help me. Im going insane over this!

Sounds like you have the wrong bearings and your clearances are too tight when torqued. Get some plastigauge and check it
