5 speed swap speedo question?

I am starting to collect the parts for the 5 speed swap and got to thinking about the speedo cable. Do I need a speedo cable for a chain driven case and will that hook up to the guage cluster in my 86 auto 4Runner? Im going to be installing a rebuilt engine at the same time. Long story short, don't buy used engines online from somebody that doesn't have any feedback, just buy a rebuilt engine lol. I had all the cash I needed to pay my mechanic to put in a used engine and do a headgasket but the engine never showed up so now I have the cash for a rebuilt, it's just going to be a longer wait so I am going to swap a 5 speed and gear driven case at the same time. I might even get som Marlin gears for the case while Im at it.

Also the speedo doesn't currently work in the truck either.
