vsv question.

I have been reading up on posts similar to the problem I'm having. I pulled the vac. line of the fuel pressure regulator and some gas came out. with the key in the on position nothing came out. would this be the fuel pump. last weekend I went to start it and had to feather the gas . I have never had to do that because of the fuel injection. I followed the vac. line to what appears to be the vsv . Is this correct? on the top right side close to the firewall. the other vac. line has been cut and has a screw in it to block it off. where would that line go? Thanks for the help.

some consider this fuel pressure regulator to be superflous, and doesn't really make any difference if its operating or not. However, it should not leak gas. You need to find a good one from a recycler, or the stealership. its optional to hook up the vacuum.
