Hey guys

I pulled off my timing cover to do the chain on a recently bought truck. It looks like someone tried to build up a wall with jb weld around the oil pump area at the back of the pump. Is there supposed to be a wall like that from the factory and got rubbed off? I tried looking for a pic of a timing cover but all the pics are for the front.

 

If I remember correctly (last time I had mine off) there is a rib there to help control oil. It looks like the chain must have been loose and knocked it off.

I would get a new cover.
