switched to 87 octane & truck died!

so had the runner for almost a cpl months, ran grt when i got it, got a full tune up and it ran grt.

yeasterday switched to 87 octane for first time and today in rush hour traffic it dies twice. restared fine and drove home.

is the switch to 87 to blame or any other culprits? this happen to anyone else?

if anything 87 octane will run better

there was water, dirt or crud in the gas you pumped

or coincidence...

dirty MAF can cause motor to stall

try again

Could be heat soak, fuel quality, any number of things. I know that these fuel pumps don't hold pressure after about 100K or so. A warm start is increasingly difficult as the more miles you get on your fuel pump. I experience this when I have to run into a store or something and run back out. Anything longer than a 1/2 hour and it is fine but less than that, I have to crank it longer to start. Sometimes it dies. Never leaves me stranded though!
