IFS Lower Control Arm Bushing SLEEVE

Anyone Know where to Buy the sleeve in that lives inside the lower control arm bushing?

Bought new Control Arm bushings by Poly Performance, $50.00 for the Kit. (Toyota wanted $75.00 EACH times 4 OUCH) (Bought all new Bolts, Nuts, washers, and cam adjusters from Toyota big Ouch)

Brought the Runner to an alignment shop, They had to torch off the old hardware (expected) but cannot save the sleeve. Nor can they find a Metal sleeve anywhere. Toyota will not sell the Sleeve itself.

I'm into this freaken alignment for WAY TO MUCH money now. Over $500.00 and growing (Of course they told me this AFTER they torched everything off)

Anyone ?

AFAIK, you cannot. You have to buy the entire unit.

Your best bet is to buy old arms at the junk yard, and get the sleeves out that way, if you can.

what the chance that
1: There is a 4Runner at a wreckers around here
2: Since I live in the Rust Belt/Salt Belt of the worlds that the junker parts are as badly seized.

Also My truck is sitting at the shop up on the host.

Anyone know the size of this Tube ? Maybe I can source the sleeve somewhere.

numbnuts...

if they had used a press and some WD40 the OEM rubber comes out of the sleeves...

The PROBLEM is that the external sleeves are pressed into the arms.
An empty sleeve will "crush" if you try to press it into the arm.

Yer better off getting a spare set of arms and gettign the bushings apart with PRESS this time.

Oh yeah - I went BACK to OEM bsuhings on mine - much happier
