I'm thinking of buying a long bed 2wd around 1979 Toyota truck. With a 5spd and 20r, is there anything I should look for besides rust? I'm seriously considering buying one, because there are several of them in my area that are cheap. Thanks!

 

if it is a '79 check that all the vacuum lines are complete not just rigged

 

What does it mean if they are rigged?

 

make sure there are no cuts in he lines..or places wherwe the linds have been spliced or something...check for frame rust...it tends to get pretty bad on these older trucks....check the floorpans also...they get bad..and all the body mounts...good luck...first gens are the best when running right..lol..
