Interior finally done. Found gray buckets – PICS

Step 1 - Orig. interior:

Step 2 - Add door map pockets to vinyl door panels:

Step 3 - Tan buckets because gray seats are no where to be found at the wrecker:

Step 4 - Find some SR5 cloth door panels and a Grant wheel:

Step 5 - Stumble across some Grey SR5 buckets at the wrecker and forget to tell your wife that you now have 3 sets of seats. I can't believe what a difference a colour matched interior makes:

For anyone curious about the center console - I bought it at Walmart for $39.99 CDN and it drops right in with minor trimming. It has quite a bit of room:

When doing the seat swap, the passenger seats drops right in. 3 of the 4 bolts on the driver's side line up. The 4th is hidden under the carpet next to the transmisson tunnel:

Take off EH!
looks very nice....

How did you secure those map holders?
Also where in BC are you (going off the hat)? I need some buckets for my pu, and my interior is nowheres near as nice as yours so I don't think I'd care about the color difference.

What's up with the double handles?

Again, very nice interior...

His door panels came off a two door 4runner just like mine did. The rear most handle is so rear seat pas. can get themselves out of the truck more easily.

I had to remove the door panels and screw the pockets in from behind. The holes are already in the panel from the factory. Any 2nd Gen 4Runner should have them if you are planning to swap them in.

Double handles are there because the panels are from a 2-door 4Runner. Both function. I mentioned it in a previous thread but now that I found gray seats I thought I'd post a new thread with updated pics.

I'm in Vancouver.

Beautiful man. I've also been on the hunt for some buckets in gray and I've had zero luck. Not a single hit anywhere. I've even emailed salvage yards across the country with no luck.

I'd also like some cloth doors with map pockets but what year SR5 trucks am I looking for? Will the SR5 Runner doors work? If so which years?

I also like the console. I was looking to use the '01+ Tacoma console but I like the idea of being able to lock my firearm up in that one you have.

For the 3rd Gen trucks, only the 2nd Gen 2-door 4Runner panels will work. The 4-door panels are too short. I read that 2-door Runners are very rare in the States. Otherwise 1989-1994 SR5 pick-ups.

By no means is this console secure enough to hold a sidearm. The lock could be popped open with a pen. If there was more secure console out there for a reasonable price I'd jump on it, but this one is okay for now.

I've been looking for the 01 Tacoma console for a while with no luck. The local Dealer wants $375.00 for a new one and they never surface at the wreckers.

I would love to go wild at Alpi's but they seem to be overpriced since they have such a large market share in the older Yotas. Still, I check the website every couple of days. Had to resist those SR5 truck doors they had a few weeks ago. Other things I need first.

Nice job. Was thinking of swapping my bench for some buckets. Do you have better clearance behind the seats now with the buckets or less?

Wow, I never knew they had two door handles on the passenger side of the 2 door models...

I do have one question for you:

How the hell did you find a driver's seat with NO TEARS, OR HOLES in it?????

You are so lucky... I bet your truck doesn't even make that special "Yota" squeek when you turn the wheels all the way when turning.......
