I was at lowes the other day and noticed they have some pretty beefy d-rings/shackles/whatever-you-call-them. Does anyone know (or how can I find out if) they are strong enough to be used with my rig off-road? They didn't have any strenght/grade info on them, or maybe I just didn't know what to look for. If I remember correctly, they had 1/2" and 3/4" d-rings. It would be nice to be able to use them to attach straps and such... plus they would just look damn cool hanging from my bumper.
