I had to replace the engine in my 97 taco dx 4X4. The new engine is out of a 2001 4runner My brother and I can't figure out what vaccum line goes to the 4X4, thus the 4 wheel doesn't work. Anyone have a diagram to help us out?

 

In 01 the front diff was not vacuum controlled, its was electronic.

Im SURE you used the harness from your 97 RIGHT? If not, you're in trouble!

 

Yeah we used the 97 harness. Some of the vaccum lines were crossed initially, so we had a mechanic look at it who changed things up. Before we took it to the guy the 4 wheel worked, but the truck didn't want to run. Now it runs like a dream, but the 4X4 doesn't. Any suggestions would be appreciated as we are rookies. Thanks for replying!!!!

 

We found an uncovered vaccum port and put a hose on it; connected it to the 4X4 and it works aewsome... When I get home I'll take pics if anyone needs 'em
