Rear spring air bag?

Has anyone used the air bag spring insert on a gen 3? Just looking to cure Butt-sag when towing a trailer. BTW, has anyone sucessfully transplanted a 3.4 into a Gen 2 yet?

Air Bags

I towed a 4,000# trailer with our '98 4Runner. I installed a set of Air Lift air bags when we first got the truck. They worked great and were still going strong when I traded the '98 in on our 2003 'Runner.

Before buying, check your rear suspension. If your truck has jounce bumpers that live inside the coil springs, they'll have to be removed before the air bags can be installed. My truck worked just fine with the air bags but no jounce bumpers.

The Air Lift instructions direct you to remove the coil springs to install the bags. I found that by jacking the truck up so the rear suspension was at full droop, I could fold up the bags and squeeze them inside the coil springs through the space between the coils.
