Sorry no pics available.
I should have said that I will only sell to someone who sees the vehichle in person and drives it. I will not sell sight unseen due to the rear diff problems I want any buyer to know what they are getting. I will not compromise on this.
If possible I will borrow a camera and try to post pics, esp. ones of the parts needed to fix the rear.
By the way price is deff. negotiable.
Sorry I am located in Middletown, NY about an hour north west of NYC for referance.

142,000 brand new, for a yota. Seriously I have been meticulous about upkeep esp drivetrain oil, transfercase and transmission fluid. I really have kept up on the rear diff fluid, see sig.

Its all setup w/ front and rear arb lockers, only problem is it needs to have the rear gears and locker reinstalled after I blew the ring and pinion. I had to have the oe put in as a temporary bandaid until I got a new cooper air line for the arbs interior.

Seriously I live in Middletown, NY its about an hour north of NYC and 1-1/2 south of Albany, NY or way too far from the South or West where all the good wheeling is.

man, i'm in illinois...i'd come see it, but i gotta have some pictures before i do. you said you've got the 4.56 ring and pinion for the rear ready to back on the arb 3rd? would you feel safe driving this 4runner across the country or would you set it aside as an in town, trail dedicated truck? i am very interested, pm me if you get a chance. oh, and could you shoot me the vin # so i can run a carfax on it? thanks a ton.

so is the only damage on the rear quarter what you can see in the pic from the rear? it looks like the rear bumper flexed into it or something?

any accidents? driving with mismatched gears shouldn't hurt anything (in 2wd) except you can't test the 4wd before you buy. you have the new rear gears for it? what is the nearest airport? pm me if you'd like, i am very interested.

justinh,
yes thats the only body damage to the 4runner.
Yes it will drive in2wd but the rear is a little noisy due to the quick fix while waiting for the gears. I have the arb, new gears and replacement parts for the airline hookup in a crate in the basement. I have been trying to get time to pull the third and have it set up by a shop in Pa. but w/out a garage it will fit in and all the snow the planshave been put on hold.
The nearest airport is stewart Newburgh or any of the big city ones JFK, Laguardia or Newark Liberty.
To be honest I have driven locally but I dont know if the rear would last to Ga. right now.

I thought I read that it had the stock 4.10 3rd member in there? Or did you have the stock 4.10 gears put back in the 3rd member that had the blown 4.56's?

same 3rd member w/ stock gears and open diff the stocks were put back in as a temp fix so they werent completely tuned, a shim or two might pattern them out better.

I see, now I understand your concern better. I am not sure that I could make it work easily then.
