3.0 trasmission trouble

My truck has a shifting problem. When in 1st gear, with little pressure on the clutch, such as a parking lot driving, the clutch will sometimes disengage. Also, 1st gear will kick into neutral instead of stalling if the clutch is not released perfectly. More importantly it takes force to put the shift lever into first gear from a stop.

The truck generally works fine and has had this issue for 1000's of miles, but the rough shifting is getting very annoying, and something isn't right.
Thanks for any advice.

When was the last time that the tranny, diff, and transfer case oil levels were checked or changed? Manuals don't shift well without the proper lube. Just a thought.

Yeah, I've been trying to get the bolts off to refill. I have PB blasted them all many times but am afraid to apply too much torque.
Ashamed to say I bought all the correct syn oils but haven't got the filler bolts to nudge. I have a CA truck, but it has seen a few salty mountain winters.
Thanks for the reply.

That was one of the first things I did when I got my runner. A couple of the bolts needed a lot of torque to undo. I used a hammer to tap/pound on the handle of a 1 foot breaker bar on at least one of them and a long cheater bar on the rear diff I do believe. They can take quite a bit. Problem is keeping the socket on the bolt. I used a medium extension and the breaker bar to get to the tranny fill bolt and then held on tight and pushed with my legs. A few curse words and a busted knuckle later I had em all filled.
