88 22re idle

I have a 88 22re that runs great but sometimes when it completely warms up it idles erratically, like almost dying and once it did, also when it gets close my brake and battery light start to come on, if i rev the motor both of them come on, i am talking about the battery and emergency brake lights, any ideas, runs great other wise, gets great fuel mileage. thanks in advance

your alt is junk get a new one and it will all be better...... when the brake and battery lights come one that means theres not 14V but it might just be putting out just enough to keep you running try this test to confirm start it let it warm up and hold the UP on the windows heater on high and the blower motor blowin if she stalls or they come on then you know or just take a tester or volts gauge to the battery and see what the slt is putting out when its idling and when you rev it up a little
