Question 1 inch and 265/75-16's

I'm considering Performance Products 1 inch lift springs, Bilsteins, and 265/75-16 Michelin LTX AT's. I'm going for a good look, good on road performance, and good snow performance.

Any opinions? Will the bigger tires look right under a 1 inch lift?

Thanks to all at Yotatech!!

It will look great! If yours ends up being similar to mine, the rear is a little higher than the front, and you'll love the look and feel of it.

That will be almost like my mod
I'm not sure about snow performance since I have no idea when I'll snow here in Arizona, but as far as good on-road performance and good looks, you certainly will get that with PP 1" Springs and Bilstein shocks.

I have PP coils and bilsteins. I also have a 1" body lift and I'm running 265 75 R16's. I'm happy with them for now.

Check out my sig for more pics.

That's exactly what I have.

Snow performance is way better than my old Dunlop's!! My wife drove from SLC to Park City Utah for work every day. It snows really bad in the canyon on the way to Park City and she didn't have any problems!

mgspann: Thanks for the complement!

TStango's rig looks so much higher with no running boards on it!!

I would take mine off, but my wife uses them!! I just hope I win the rock sliders from Yotatech

I ordered splash guards today and am going to try going without running boards at least until winter. I think the running boards make the truck look lower than it actually is. I'll get some pics on Thursday for comparison.

As for the hood scoop, I just bought one part a month for 5 months and then got it painted. Not as painful as doing it all at once.

Cheers

Here's mine before and after removal. I didn't put on new mud guards either: (granted they are at slightly different angles and there's a TJM on there, still a good comparison) It really does make a difference in looks taking the running boards off.

Here's a comparison of mine and a bone stocker with running boards, it looks like it's got the 29" tires with 15" wheels too:

Keisur -

Your 4Runner is BadA@#!!! Since I don't do much off-road I can't justify the TJM, but I really want one anyway. I've got 31's now, and I hope without the running boards it will look a little more like yours.

Also, your front end looks more level than mine. Is that because of your lift, etc.?

Thanks. Feels good to get compliments,

I ran for almost 6 months after my lift with the running boards on and when I finally removed them (because I was dragging them on things while wheeling) it looked alot taller because you could actually see the ground clearance from the side. it is a definate better look in my opinion and unless my mom comes in town, the boards will never be mounted again, but like I said, temporarily they will when the mom is in town.

My front is more level because I didn't like the down angle drag race look that the 4runners are given as stockers, so I have my SAWs cranked for more lift in front compared to the rear. what I did was measure the distance to the ground from the lip on the rocker panel in front of the rear wheels and in the rear of the front wheels so that it would have a more level stance, like one of those old broncos. to me, it makes it look more aggressive without the front end nosing down a tad bit. Just don't get the front so high that the rear looks like it sags, that's a silly look.

Yea - my mom can barely get in with the running boards, she isn't going to dig it without. I'll have to carry a milk crate or something or she'll have to walk :walk:

Just kidding - ya gotta love mom!

If my mom didn't have both knees replaced with the titanium/teflon ones, I would just let her get in like everyone else. haha, just kidding, I'd still put them back on for her.

I'm leaning towards the same setup. I have 265/75/16 BFG KO's want a lift, but don't want to spend the jack to get new tires, etc. Will the PP springs do anything to a 99 4Runner? From what I've read the 99's have the highest stance. Somebody please reply!
