Consumer Reports Tests Mid-Size SUV's: Car & Truck Based
Nissan Murano, Mitsubishi Endeavor, Chrysler Pacifica, Mitsubishi Montero, Chevrolet Trailblazer & Toyota 4Runner
4Runner: SR5 4.0 V6, $32, 418.
CR recommended the 4Runner. Highs were quietness (the one I test drove was quiet), powertrain refinement, off-roading, towing, cargo volume, and reliability. Lows were fuel economy. If only Toyota would listen to the resounding chorus from the YotaTech forum: DIESEL! DIESEL!
