Yo,

Tweekers busted the glass out of my 89 4runner's tailgate..and the seal at the top of the gate with the rediculous clips is all jacked up too.

Has anyone ever attempted to swap out the stock gate for a regular truck gate, and perhaps tried to combine it with a topper window? Anyone by chance know if the parts fit? Is this feasible at all?

Any better ideas? The tailgate, imo, is the one retarded thing about these fine trucks.

 

that will not work. the pickup tailgate is completely different. i'd see if i could find the glass at a junk yard and dig into it on a nice saturday morning.

Yeah, I asked a body guy about that. It's not worth the value of the truck to pay someone to modify something to fit.

I have a window from an 86, I think it will work.
