component speakers opinions wanted

I've searched but wasn't able to hit on anyone running Polks, specifically these for the front:

http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...7DB6501&tp=106

I'm also looking at:

http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...86020CS&tp=106

and

http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...GTO607C&tp=106

I'd like some opinions on these and some input from people who have them.

Any ideas for the rear? No amp yet, but may run something in the future.

I've heard nothing but good things about these, they like a big amp tho.
Truthfully put all your money into speakers and amps for the front end (and a nice deck with good crossovers/EQ) and the rear, just run off deck power ( a little 2x30 amp would be ok too if you had one) but you want most of the sound to come from in front, the rear is just fill.
oh, and get a nice sub.
Here is how i would buy if i was on a budget.
Deck
Front speakers +amp(s)
Sub + amp
rear fill speakers
rear fill amp

amps, you cant go wrong with audison, they are great.
sub is personal preference, but my image dynamics sounds great.

Try PHOENIX GOLD OCTAIN R 6.25 or 5.25 I have a set of both in my runner and am very pleased with them them rock hard and are not that expensive and work really well with a good amp.

I have Alpine Type-R components. They really sound great but are terribly inefficient. Im giving them about 70 watts or so and I still have to crank it up to get them to sound good.

www.elementaldesigns.com

they make some good stuff for a great price.
also,
infinity makes great speakers.

Also, crutchfield is a good place to shop, but buy from www.hookedontronics.com to save some $$. You cant use the crutchfield adapators when you install the speakers anyways.

Phoenix Gold RSD's. Probably the best bang for the buck you are going to find.

are those the choices you are set on? the polk have the best power power handling of the three. I have heard and installed many of JBL's products in the past and have been impressed with them.

I can't say anything about the JBL's because I have not heard them. As far as the Polk's or the Infinity's, both are great speakers it just depends on the sound you want to achieve. Both brands have there own characteristic sounds you just have to listen to them to decide. The Polk's have a much more natural sound with more mids and bass. Listening to the Infinity's you'll probably notice you will hear a lot more of the vocals and real high trebles.
