About to embark on a project... quick advice.

Blower motor went out... So I've been freezing in my truck the last couple weeks...

Picked up a new one at autozone for $56 on my way home from work... Now it is time to get to work.

Anyone ever done this before that can give me a few tips to make this painless?

Thanks

just look under the passenger side dash and it might just fall out on you.

But I hope that actually is your problem did you test the circuit first?

It may need a blower resistor, switch, or relay.

Hey, i just finnished this about 2 hours ago...

Ok lets see it's pretty easy to get to on a 1st gen runner, just remove the glove box to give you some extra room to work with. You may also want to pull and test the resistor pack while you are down there, mine was bad it's about 10" away from the motor on the firewall. I also replaced my heater relay. Unbolt three bolts that hold down the motor/fan pull out (it's a tight squeeze) remove fan from motor and put fan on new motor. Next just squeeze the new motor back in and you are good to go (except that my replacement motor didn't fit right so it has a littel rattle)

Now if you don't have a 1st gen runner, or a 2nd gen pickup, then i don't know for sure but it seems like they didn't move it far so it should be similar. Let me know if you need anymore help.
