HELP! Wires on Fuse box
On my '86 Toyota 4x4 pickup, I had a connector meltdown, (wire plug under passenger seat), and found two wires had shorted at the back in tailight harness. Fixed all that, then went to fuse box by footwell on drivers side, and the fuse for the rear lights, was totally melted into the fuse panel! It was destroyed, so removed fuse panel, and behind same there was a BIG red wire, and the wire going to the rear tailight fuse, melted to gether. Decided to remove fuse panel, and bought another used one from same model / year vehicle, and am now down to 4 mores wires to join "new" panel to existing wires. There are two BIG white wires, from panel, and from wiring harness, but, no other color code markings on them. Are the two BIG WHITE wires interchangeable with each other, as from panel to harness? Also, there is a thinner black with red spaced stripes from harness, and a similar one from fuse panel, but one from fuse panel, is BIG size, can they be put together? There is no other 'color compatiple', hook up for this one and it is the last wire. I have checked the other color code connections over and over, to make sure they are correct connections. Don't have many more hairs to pull out of my head! Can you help? Thanks
Sid
