Help: Previous owner cut/ disconnected these sensors (pics)

And I need help Identifying them. The first pic is a group of harnesses on the drivers side and I also have two cut wires coming from 2 sensors on the tranny. Does anybody know what the hell these do? It's a 5-spd 85 4runner if that helps.

I'm about to dump a ton of money into my truck, but I want it to run top-notch before I even think about modifying it. I'm having other problems that I'm fixing thanks to searching this site, but I can't find anything about these wires!

well the first pic, those are for your tach, which unless its an sr5, it wont have. 2nd pic: those look like your seatbelt indicators, or maybe your reverse lights. or maybe your 4wd indicator.

Does that just simply light up a "4wd" light on my instrument panel, or is it a wire that if cut could harm something mechanical?

All of the plugs that are shown in the first pic are for testing purposes only. They do not connect to anything. The square plug is a test connection for the EFI fuel pump. The round plug with black tape on it is to test the O2 sensor with using a special Toyota diagnostic tool. The other one is for pulling computer codes and bypassing the computer to check timing. I can't remember what the last plug is for. 2 of the round connectors plug into the round rubber boots on the fender that keep dust and dirt out of the connectors.

Awesome, thanks for your input!

Anybody have any clue as to what the wires near the tranny belong to?

the one in the middle of the transmission will be for the reverse lights, the one on the t-case will be the 4wd indicator light. Neither are mechanically bad to leave, but you'd probably like your reverse lights to come on when you back up.
