Your pretty well set. Just three words. Locker. Locker. Locker. I know it's not suspension but it will make a big difference. Seems you have the bases pretty well covered. I would reconsider the new t-bars personally unless the 4.3 is considerably heavier than whatever came out of the truck or if a heavy front bumper and winch are in your future. Another non suspension thing you might consider is ditching that stock crossmember for a Budbuilt. You will gain a lot of clearance with just the skid. They can also build in allowances for your body lift too, but with 2 inches you should probably lift the entire drivetrain (not a huge task). That will give some big clearance improvements and one of the best mods you can do.... Oh, just thought about the 4.3. I don't know about the swap, can you lift that 2 inches and still clear?

Yes. If you talk to them at Budbuilt they can build it so that all of that junk hanging down to catch on stuff disappears, and you will have a REAL skid plate for your t case. The link I'm posting is the dual case skid but the pics just show the profile better. Yours would have even less deflection due to your BL and DT lift so you could lose about 3 inches or a bit more of clearance robbing stuff.

im gonna seriously look into that

but im trying to decide on a tire size im thinking 35-12.50 will fit with a 2 inch body lift and bj spacers 25mm t bars with the right back space on the rim and a radical fender trim

what do you guys think

and any more sugestions as to how to make her more trail ready

the bad thing is we have no rocks in lower sc so when i get the rig finished im gonna have to travel

Not sure on the 35's. Maybe. Someone around here should know. I'd still seriously look at the "belly tuck". 2 inches on tires gets you 1 inch more clearance. 3 inches off the belly gets you 3 inches. Plus you stay lower so a lower COG. Also, may I ask why you want the 25mm t bars?

when i put the chevy motor in it was a little bit heavier thatn the old and tired 3vze so i want somethinmg to hold up that engine and ride a little better on the road and trails

big tires with all that weight in the front the bars should have no problem compressing

Cool. As long as it's about weight and not lift, you're good.
