Morning all,
Happy Thanksgiving to all those south of the 49th parallel.

I'm bringing an '04 Tacoma PreRunner into Canada and need to enable daytime running lights to pass the safety inspection. I gather from reading other threads that retrofitting the factory DRL setup isn't reasonable (different fuse box & wiring harness, and expensive DRL module). If at all possible, I would like to avoid using the Canadian Tire (or equivalent) aftermarket module that runs the headlights as DRLs.

Any chance somebody has successfully used the turn signals as DRLs by performing a similar mod to the one outlined in this thread for the 2005-2008 Tacomas?

Cole Hersey used to offer an add on DRL unit, it was under a hundred $ and easy to install
