Heater Fan Relay on my '94 4x4

...just save myself some $$$ yesterday and thought I'd relay this tip to others on this site. I had issues with my heater fan not working (...I know I've replaced it before and the old one I took apart to look at it, simple copper wire coil with two contacts). It's located behind the glove box on the right side (glove box removal: 4 phillips screws and one 10mm bolt, extremely easy to remove). Anyways once you get the relay out it is possible to remove the relay housing, with a small screw drive just pry the cover over the locking tabs. Take it apart, and get yourself an Exacto blade and scrape the contacts on the relay and shine them up. If you're having issues with your fan not working, I'm sure this will fix it. Reinstall the relay and test. Works slick, total cost: ZERO!!! Sorry Autozone.
