Can anyone tell me if the running boards from a 3rd Gen (1997) 4Runner will mount up to a 2nd Gen (1994 I'm told) 4Runner? I'm selling mine via the local Craigslist and one of the hits wants to know. I told him he's welcome to come by and try it, but I'd like to save him the hassle if someone here has tried it.

No they won't, the 3rd gen ones are longer, and the mounting brackets don't line up. At least that was the case with my 93 and 01 4Runners.
