Well, I am between a rock and a hard place.. This is the best truck I have ever owned, but its just an intermediate truck until I can get a diesel... and I have an offer to get a brand new Cummins for 5K below invoice (only a few K more than the taco was).. Most of you that know me on here know the condition of my truck, and my feelings on maintenance... that being said here is what the truck is
2007 Double Cab Short Bed TRD OffRoad 5spd Auto 4x4
12K miles (~320 hours)
All the possible options
TRD Offroad
JBL Audio
Side Curtain Airbags
Tow Package
VSC w/ DAC (Auto LSD, TRAC, A-TRAC)
Auto-Dimming Mirror
Bug Guard
Firestone Ride-Rite Airbags
Cornfed 1.75" level kit.
Mudflaps removed.
IssPro hourmeter.
Ventvisors
The truck had religious oil changes during break in. A bypass oil filter was installed at 5K miles. Currently has 2K miles on Amsoil 0w-30 (35K mile oil). Been greased with Amsoil since day 1. Tires are 265/70/16 BFG AT's, one has 300 miles on it, the others have 55% tread.
I have an excel spreadsheet with maintenance and mileage log, PM if interested.
So for the truck I am asking $28,500 o.b.o
I also have the following accessories on the truck that will be removed, but can be bought with the truck for a GREAT deal.
CBI Front reciver (hidden in bumper), and wired for front winch ($300)
Wet Okole seat covers, Front and Rear ($600)
Amsoil Dual Remote bypass mount ($225)
ViAir 450C hard-mounted under hood ($200)
Toyota OEM tool box (BRAND NEW..NEVER INSTALLED) ($550)
Toyota OEM bed liner ($60)
IssPro EV Auto Trans Temp gauge ($150)
IssPro EV Oil Psi gauge ($110)
Total $2195 in quality accessories..
Will sell truck AS IS for $30,000... Retail on the truck is $30,150... with none of the accessories.
IMO this is an excellent deal on an even better truck... I have no major concerns with the truck and won't hesitate to keep it if I cannot get what its worth.
Truck is in Boise, ID.

Yeah, it's hard to do, but I have been wanting a full size for about 10 years, and may be able to squeak into one...

Bump for you John: All the research that you did on your mods etc while you were over in Afghanistan. Hate to see you sell it but I can understand the need to a full size. From reading John's threads here and on other forums I can say that if you are in the market for a Tacoma DC this would be one that you could not go wrong with...Good luck.
Still wish I could have picked up your '92...

You might try advertising this truck in Canada, or at least on AutoTrader where Canadians can see it for sale. The Canadian dollar closed at $1.07 US today (!), so a $30,000 US dollar asking price is equivalent to $28,000 in Canadian funds. Being in Idaho, you are close to the border, and an equivalent truck here in Canada is priced much higher. Some new quad cab Tacomas have MSRP's of over $40,000, because Canadian vehicle prices don't yet reflect the recent changes in the exchange rate.
I know a number of people who have recently made the trek to the States to save money on a vehicle purchase. Since there are more cross-border issues when trying to import a brand new vehicle, a nearly-new truck like yours would be in demand.

Hey John: Awesome!!! that went faster than I thought it would. Much faster than the 92... With all thework you put into your additions for the truck someone got a great deal.
So it sounds like we won't be hearing from you too much on the Toyota Forums since you are getting a fullsize truck...Good luck with the new Cummins...it will be nice and I am curious what you come up with on that one!

Thanks Robb... I actually sold it to my dad, he has been wanting a mid size for running around town, going shooting, etc... my folks are moving 10 miles back a dirt road and he is pulling the old card and doesnt want to have to drive his cummins everyday.. so it will work out well for both of us...
I may poke my head in every now and then, I still have a few toyota veins in my blood.... but yeah I wont be quite as regular....
