On the way to work the other day...

So, I have very little to amuse me. I knew I was coming up to somewhat of a milestone. Okay, maybe not so much of a milestone as just a bunch of things lining up. Anyhow, I was on my way to work when I came across my "milestone" and stopped to take a pic. Nothing has been retouched or edited. It just me amusing myself.

And probably only myself.

Wow, all 3's...it wouldn't be so cool except the trip meter is all 3's too...the odo would hit that no matter what, but the trip meter lining up too...now that's cool.

Thats awsume I thought it was good when I got a picture of mine when it rolled to 200,000 kms.

I love the blue lights! Thats just want I want for my rig, but the pictures of others peoples light mods dont look so good, they always look like they only throw light onto certain parts of the guages, not like stock, or yours for that matter.

got info on it?

Yeah, I reset the trip at 333000 so I could capture that magic moment. The odd, coincidental thing, is that my camera labelled the pic as img_0033.

Now, for all the non-Canadians on here, my mileage is actually in kilometers, not miles.

Jay351, I got all the bulbs from http://superbrightleds.com/mini-wedge.html and, specifically, used the WLED-x5 LED Wedge Base Bulbs. They're not like normal LEDs where they only shoot light from the front, giving you the "spotlight" effect on the gauge cluster. The shoot light out in all directions.

The heater controls use one 74 bulb. I have pics of the swap, if you're interested. PM me an email address and I'll shoot some over to you.

I'd definitely be interested. I was out there yesterday and was a bit disappointed with the quality of the trails. Let me know a time and place to meet. You can reach me at rdestree at shaw dot ca.

Actually, not that bad if you reset your odo at 333000 on purpose to make sure they both lined up. Like I said, I don't have too much to amuse me.

Thanks a bunch for the pictures Rob!

If you can get the part numbers and stuff I will oder them right now! I love the look of the blue

Only thing I don't like is that on the heater section it dosnt have the white to red for the heat temp adjuster and such.. But I love the blue..
well anyone who has seen pictures of my truck can see I love blue

How many bulbs would I need?

I see 4 in the cluster
and 1 for the heater adjusters

All you need to do is order the WLED 5-LED Wide Angle LED bulb from the order page and pick the colour. I bought three, and replaced the ones in the pic I numbered 1, 2, and 3. I didn't replace the two labelled A and B, and have a white-ish edge to the temp/pressure/fuel/voltage gauges. I think there are 5 total and I should have replaced A and B. I'm going to order more of their lights for under dash lighting and rear cargo area lighting. I put in some of their other lights in my map lights and rear domes. Word of caution, though...the blue is really cool in the maps lights, but a pain the butt when it comes time to actually read anything!

Boredom, mostly. Or lack of any meaningful distractions.

Well I will do the dash and heater, thats it. I like the white light that the dome light and lights around the rearview mirror give off..

I wanted to ask, I can only see part of your gas guage and I dont see your battery guage.. is it from the lights?

Also, they look a little dimmer then the stocker, I like the brightness of the stock lights and dont want anything dimmer. Thanks

so it total there is 5 in the dash and 1 in the heater?

You can get white festoon lights for your map lights. The beautiful part about LEDs is that you can leave them on and they barely draw any power.

In this pic, you can actually see all the gauges. If you look closely, you can see what I mean about not getting the two bulbs that light the edges, so I would suggest getting 5 bulbs for the dash. And yes, one 74 for the heater controls.

The dimmer switch also works perfectly with these LEDs.
