Naw, not really. But if you have a helper, its much better than trying to do it by yourself. Even the stock bumper is a major PITA the install without a helper.

hmmm, ive r & r'd mine a couple of times without much trouble. biggest pita is the dirt that drops in my eyes while doing up the bolts. a helper would be a good idea, youll need someone to get you a cold beer when youre done!

i'm going to hae to order an ARB soon, cause my bolts are breaking due to bad roads, my bumper is out of alignment, which sucks, but the good thing about removing an early 2nd gen's bumper is it comes apart into 3 different peices! lucky me when i have to remove it!

Not exactly an answer to your question but, this might help some.
I installed a Warn winch bumper on my '93 and definitely was glad for some help, it is alot heavier than the original.
Something I was prepared for that some may not be is the Warn bumper has really heavy-duty mounts that wrap around the frame ends and catch stock mounting points, some of which I have no idea what their original intentions are for because there are tapped holes but nothing mounted to them.
Anyways, have on hand some taps, because I needed to tap each hole on my truck to clean them up enough so the hardware went on nice and smooth.
I would assume that TJM and ARB use the same mounting points as the Warn bumper, so if you have 14mm, 12mm, and 10mm taps on hand with some tapping fluid or even just WD-40 it will probably go alot easier.
Just a tip, hope it helps!

Don't try it without help to get bolts started, I installed mine with the help of a engine lift and straps. On an aside I have decranked T-Bars and BJ spacers and I had to re crank my T-Bars because the truck took a stinkbug stance. You're bolting about 110 lbs for the bumper and 60-75lbs for a winch to the front of the truck.
I suspect the truck will want to swap ends a little faster on ice this winter due to the weight transfer characteristics.
*nevermind about the T-Bar stuff I just noticed you've got a 85, nice.*

i'd say it weighs somewhere between 60 and 80 lbs. with the winch i think it's no more than 150. my front end didn't droop at all with it on if your wondering. then again the bilsteins i have are pretty stiff.
