Question Where to find JDM aftermarket parts for a '96 3.4L 4Runner

As I am recent convert from the so called "spocom" scene, I am a bit of a JDM whore. Unfortunately the websites I used to purchase parts for my S2000, do not sell JDM parts for SUVs. Can anyone provide me with some websites that carry JDM aftermarket parts for 4Runners? Specifically, I am interested in JDM headers/testpipes/and exhausts.

Thanks,
Will

yeah really no one here is that much into JDM 4runners, mostly guys who off-road, is a jdm header going to be better than say a JBA made header?

Quite honestly, I couldn't tell you if it would be better or not. What I can tell you is, as far as S2000 parts go, JDM parts tend to blow American parts out of the water, in terms of quality and performance.

BTW, what is a JBA header? And, in general, what are some good websites for after-market parts for the 4runner?

Thanks,
Will

JBA is a header exhaust company
http://www.jbaheaders.com/

http://www.urdusa.com/
thats pretty much the only 'performance' site iv heard of, im not into going fast so i cant help you much.

also most japanese '4runners' are diesels and iv heard our 3.4 isnt common over there. so finding jdm performance parts for the 3.4 could be more difficult.

if you want speed go with the TRD supercharger,be sure to read up on it before you commit to it.
good place to start

Thanks for the info - I have been ordering TRD parts on a weekly basis, as I have a source who will sell me anything for 1% over dealer-cost, so I have been considering it I am not really concerned with going fast, rather increasing the truck's torque as I purchased the truck to drive daily and on the weekends pull a trailer with a track prepped car to and from the track.

Yeah, because the JDM S2000 only put out 7 more horsepower than the USDM one. Yet lemmings will line-up when the magic thee letters JDM are said and part with their cash in stacks.

Not to start a flame war, as I was trying to ask a simple question, but I think you need to do some research regarding aftermarket parts for the S2000. With the exception of Inline Pro in Virginia, Japanese tuners (such as ASM, Tracy Sports, J's Racing, Amuse, and Toda) that spend countless hours on R&D and have track proven records, are unquestionably superior in terms of quality, reliability, and performance, than their American counterparts such as DC Sports and Megan racing. There are countless legitimate dyno sheets to prove this.

Here is what you need to do, trade in your Runner for an STi you get the best of both worlds. AWD and a turbo, with a huge JDM following. This isn't your scene, as for JDM import a Surf.

some more torque would be nice, i seem to find myself complaining about the lack of torque in my head every time I accelerate from a stop.

I am definitely a fan of Japan parts, (JAOS front wing and Volk TE37X's on my truck), but as everyone else mentioned, they will put a nice sized dent in your wallet. For exhaust, headers, and intake, follow the advice of the forum and stick with reputable domestic brands, ie. Magnaflow, TRD, URD.

I would check out the following:

www.urdusa.com - awesome products with a terrific reputation.
www.burtmanindustries.com - imports JAOS products.
