Road Armor Front Bumper on FJ

Thought I'd post up some pics of a good friend's FJ with some newly installed body armor:

He went with the Road Armor FJ front bumper with a Warn 9.5 winch.
IMHO, it's one of the best looking options for the FJ...

And went with the WARN rear bumper:

He's also running an ARB/EMU lift, with 285/75R17 BFG MT's on AR Teflon Mohave's.

Just wanted to share...

Man CJ, tell your buddy his FJ is sick... Corey, you looking?!?
That bumper is nice, although I cant help but wonder how much wieght/ impact force those sharp outside corners would take before they show some serious damage. Looks to me like there should have been one more brace arm out there somewhere, but, I'm they did all thier R&D with people way smarter and more experienced than me.

I dunno...it looks as burly as anything else that I've seen made by other companies that is similar in design.
As soon as we can, we're gonna get out and test it...

Yes, I have seen that bumper before around the forums, very nice.

I am still undecided on a rear bumper, I would like one that does not make you cut up your stock rear one.

That plastic on the side of the FJ is actually part of the stock bumper, and you must cut it off and reuse it.

I would like to see one that has metal incorporated on the sides of the bumper.
I have seen one, but it is not to great looking.

Nice tires and wheels on the rig too.
I just added new tires and wheels, and it sure makes a HUGE difference in the way the rig sits and looks.

Yup! It's a OME lift, with coils and shocks. (I'm not positive which ones.) He did mention thought that with the armor on there, it rides MUCH smoother and seems more solid. The last time we wheeled the "Sleeping Princess" Trail, (before armor) there was a steep section that is made up of several small "steps" and he practically pogo'ed up it, which got pretty hairy for both driver and spotters... I'm really looking forward to seeing him do it now, as I think the added weight will allow him to just climb it, instead of hopping up it.

Anyway, he is VERY happy.

Exclamation Road Armor Vs Arb?

GREAT LOOKING BUMPER, I JUST WISH IT WASNT SO EXPENSIVE! ALSO, CAN YOU GET THE ONE WITH THE TUBING THAT GOES UP AND OVER THE HOOD? I AM NEW TO THIS POSTING THING, SO IF THIS IS A MISTAKE, PLEASE FORGIVE ME, I WANTED TO GET AN OPINION ON EITHER THE OME 3" LIFT OR THE ROUGH COUNTRY 6" LIFT. I ALSO WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF I CAN USE THE TOTAL CHAOS UPPER CONTROL ARMS WITH THE ROUGH COUNTRY KIT? THANKS!
