Question Heat in front hubs???

Another newby question.
We recently rebuilt the front hubs, incl new OEM bearings, and followed the FSM exactly, incl spring scale adjustment. Took it for a drive and the front hubs seem to be getting warm, drove 8 miles at 45 no brake, and they were still warm, not hot but seemed very warm. Used good grease. Any thoughts on this, is it OK, or should they be cool, a little concerned? Just wanted to get ideas before I tear it down to inspect it.

Thanks

Yes, think it was good stuff. Valvoline Dura-Blend, synthetic blend, says meets NLGI #2 GC-LB Lithium Complex Grease, Moly fortified... Should be good to 385 F.

Just never realy noticed hubs getting warm except from brakes.

Thanks

I just switched my hub plates on my 4runner to the Aisin manual hubs and my hubs were pretty warm after a 12 mile drive. It's normal.

If they were hot, or uncomfortably hot, I'd be concerned.
