What do you guy think about putting acetone in my gas?

I'm very skeptical that the small amount that is suggested would make any difference.

 

I've been doing this for about 6 months now. I add 1oz for every ten gallons of gas I put in. The first time I tried it I immediately noticed a little better throttle response. The HUGE mileage increases they talk about are a little off although I did see on average 1 to 2 more miles per gallon. I haven't seen any wear and tear on gaskets and such either.

The key to this working (even a little) is making sure you use PURE acetone. Just grabbing your wife's fingernail polish remover won't work and could really mess things up unless the bottle says it is 100% acetone.

So all in all, is it worth it? I dunno. It's a pain in the butt to put in every time and God help you if you spill any on your paint. To me it seems like a bottle of Seafoam once a month or so in the gas will do the same thing.
