I should be able to just take it apart and clean it right??

yes you can actually find rebuild manuals online that give you exploded diagrams But most likely what it needs is just some grease

when I got my hubs they had been sitting outside for over a year mixed with grease and misc substances.

that link helped me totally take them apart and rebuild them.
