A/C Mechanic in/around Fort Lewis/Tacoma Area?

I'm looking for a reasonable a/c mechanic in the Tacoma/Fort Lewis/Olympia area. I replaced the high side a/c line and I need the unit recharged and leak tested. Getting out of the Army next month and don't want to drive back to AL with no cool air. Unless any has a vacuum pump and some A/C knowledge I can borrow.

Thanks Anyway!

Yeah, I wish I were closer to. I got one estimate from Firestone and they told me $166 just to pull a vacuum, charge, and refill. No leakcheck even! I told them no thanks. What part os SW WA are you from? Last year my wife and I spent some time in Long Beach. I was was hoping that we would get to take the dog for another beach visit, but time is getting short around here.

I am north east of Camas about six miles.

try checking with Meineke. when I werked there, there was a special we had goin on, and the end price was 120 bucks.

Long beach rocks! I like to go there to kill razor clams. last time, I nabbed my limit that weekend. between me and my buddies we had 90 clams.

we had dinner covered for a week!

Razor clams huh? I love any kind of seafood, you name it, I'll eat it. I've been interested in going claming and crabbing since I move out here, but I don't know anything about it. Is it clamming season now? I know at home (Gulf of Mexico) the prime oyster season is in late winter, is it the same out here? Meineke, I think if I am gonna have to spend that much I should probably just go buy a vacuum pump from harbor freight an do it myself. I feel confident that I could but I don't know how to jump the compressor to get it to kick on. I have charged my trucks/cars before, but never from empty. Josh
