Blowing Fuses???

Blowing Fuses???
Help. I keep blowing the gauge fuse in my p-ups dash. I can replace it and be good for a few days, or I can replace it and blow it before I get to the end of my driveway. It's totally hit or miss.
I tried opening my dash and looking for something obvious, i.e. broken wires or contacts. I tried jiggleing all the wires with a fresh fuse. I replaced all the gauge lights with 194s which are less draw. I tried switching to a 15A fuse to try to trace and can blow those too. I don't have anything aux running off that circuit, it is totally factory.
Also I've never had electrical trouble before. Is this a common deterioration? or am I up to my eyes in circuit testing?

Do you have a hitch and trailer wires? If so, check to see if they're frayed and are grounding out on the frame. I went through 5 fuses for the dash before I looked in the back and saw the frayed wiring.

I didn't have the problem prior to switching the bulbs. I switched the bulbs thinking I had one shorting out, but it didn't fix the problem.

The original recommended fuse is a 10A. So I was just bumping up one size to the 15A while troubleshooting.

I haven't checked out back yet. I do have a trailer harness that is exposed to the nasty salt/sand mix of the Mid-Atlantic winter weather solutions.

fier - try those two suggestions first. Odd that a 15 a fuese is still getting blown. You have some wires crossed somewhere overloading the system (DUH) Sorry wish I could help more. Hard to do without being there....

Well I still can't find it.... I've even gone up to a 20A in hopes of having more time to diagnose, or at least burning something up so I can find it.
The best I can pinpoint is it happens whenever I torque the motor when I first pull out or get into it really hard.
I looked around the motor and the only thing that even comes close to being pinched or anything is the lead to the speed sender.
Does anybody know if this is covered under the "Gauge" fuse in the kickpanel block?
