Screen brightness Dell Inspiron 9300 laptop

I know on older laptops they have a slider you can slide back and forth above the keyboard, that is how one of my old laptops is.

How do you do the brightness on a newer laptop such as the Inspiron 9300?

Is it done by a key combo?

Thanks,

On my friends laptop I believe you hold down the function key and use the up and down arrow keys.

blue "Fn" on the lower left hand side.

then use the cursor keys for contrast and brightness.

depending on model, you have various other shortcut key combos too from ejecting the optical drive, turning on and off the wifi radio, video output control, etc...

as usual, RTFM...

or call 1-800-624-9896, option 3 for tech support... lol...
