Does your 03 4runner door trim look like this?

I've just noticed this on the driver's side door, it looks like the plastic trim piece with the oh-˟˟˟˟˟ handle should cover and overlap the piece on the left side. But as you can see in this picture, part of the left piece got bended outward when they put this thing together, so now part of the left trim is overlapping the right trim. I will attached a picture so you guys will know what the heck I am talking about. I am wondering if your 03 is like this too? I hope this is just an isolated incident. I will definitely have the dealer to replace the bended plastic trim next time I bring it in for my first oil change.

That piece is very flexible and you should be able to just run your finger along it and put it back under the other larger piece. Being as flexible as it is made it real easy for me to run coax for a cell phone antenna up the post to the top of the windshield.

Yup, I'm with Woodbert and rawilla, the door trim should be on the outside of the A-pillar trim and headliner. Do as rawilla said and take your finger or a flat-headed screwdriver and run it up and around the door to pop it all out. Shouldn't take more than 5 minutes.

Now, what mod would this fall under ?

Steve

That's just a rubber fitting that covers the opening between the sheet metal and the console (abs plastic). You should be able to use a flathead to flap that part out not a biggie. If you're concerned about damaging it, take it to the stealer and they'll fix that for ya in a few minutes.

But i'd recommend doing it yourself as i don't trust them stealers!
