Belt tension on the A/C belt - how tight?

1990 4runner 3.0 - My A/C belt seems tight because you can't flex it much by hand because the gaps between the crank, A/C, and tensioner pulleys are really short.

I have a pretty good feel for belt tension, but this short belt is new for me. Any tips on setting tension? Is it supposed to feel kind of too tight?

Also, the center lock-down nut on the face of the pulley is "buried" and hard to get a socket on it without rounding the nut. Is there a trick or mod for this?

Thx.
