I have 2,880 reasons to love me some FJ!!

My CPA called me this week and said I was able to deduct all of the sales tax ($2880) on my new FJ off of my federal income tax this year (yes, I itemize).




doesnt just apply to vehicles... but a few other big ticket items for which you paid sales tax ...

This is the first time I have done my own taxes as an independent, and I have almost no deductions Even deducting tax on my "new to me" 4Runner, my deductions aren't more than the "standard deduction." Maybe next year...

that was me up until a couple years ago when I built myself a new house.... then i finally got to benifit from itemizing.
