cleaning the alternator on a taco

hey guys can you clean the alternator with the same spray you use to clean the maf sensor? it says you can but is it safe or better yet necassary??

so no one has tried cleaning the junk off in the alternator?

You can use Quick-Dry Electric Parts Cleaner made by CRC.

yeah thats what i have but is it pretty much useless to clean? never done it. its not thta dirty just dirty from 80k miles worth of driving

they sell it anywhere that the MAF cleaner is sold...cant miss it..

its not gonna hurt it...i mean...its prolly got some dirt and stuff caked on it...just clean it as a precautionary measure...
