center console sub box

has anyone done this? im thinking about doing it and was hoping someone had some pictures of the one they made. what im looking to do is have the sub fire towards the rear in the middle right behind the seats. then have the box/console come between the seats and act as a armrest also. anyone know why this wouldnt work or sound good?

edit: the sub is a single 10'' IDQ powered by a memphis 250d amp.

It should sound fine.

I'm going to build a similar set up for my 82. However the sub will fire to the side (like the new TJs with the factory subwoofer). I'll be building the whole thing from MDF and some fiberglass then I'll wrap it in vynil.

I know Truckin' mag did a write up on this like 2-3 years back, try searching there website.

this is pretty much exactly what i plan on doing, but just as with yota tony, im gonna have the sub fire toward the passenger seat just as in the new wranglers, my buddy had a rubicon, and it wasnt too overwhelming having it mounted there...
