Buying a Tacoma

Ive had a 94 truck 4x4 22re for the past 3 years, i love it, but now its getting too old and I want something newer. So i figure a taco. Now ive been looking around for specs and what makes a difference for each model/year/package. Anyone knows where to find such info, or sugestion for which years are better/more desired? If it matters, i pretty sure i want 4wd v6 extended cab, and i have about 12k to play with.
Thanks in advance

Well, FYI Tacomas have a pretty high resale value...I have been looking for one wit under 60k miles, but they are all close to 15-16k, Now there are some with 120k+ miles in your price range, but I think that is going to be too much mileage for something that is going to be in houston traffic! (which is where i am moving)! Also I want better mileage!!! But Its still my dream to have a tacoma!!!

Houston traffic is bad, but not as bad as Dallas ;-) We should go wheeling sometime once you move.

Yeah they are $$ but its worth it, ive seen a couple with around 90-100k for that price, i figure its ok, my last one is at 200k. If i wanted cheep i would of gotten a 05 ranger lol,

What years did they stop offering manual hubs? And how hard is it to convert to manual from add?

i usually find something like this is helpful for me http://www.internetautoguide.com/car...oma/index.html i always find it via google but im sure you can find whatever year of whatever vehicle there to compare actual specs.

i dont know how houston traffic got brought up at all, and ive been in dallas traffic too, but both pale in comparison to atlanta traffic. after having lived in houston for 19 years and then being here for 1.5 years, the traffic here is like nothing ive ever seen
