Power steering problem
I think it's a problem...I just had my PS pump rebuilt with the seal kit. Everything was fine until yesterday, when I was trying to parallel park. I tried to steer from lock to lock but the steering would get real difficult all of the sudden. I'd have to wait a second or two until it started to turn again. It feels like the belt is slipping, but it's not because there's no squealing. The steering also felt a little heavier in a parking lot, but then it went away. I drove 3 hours last night without a problem.
I also have a rancho steering stabilizer, but I would think that if it were going out then the steering would get easier, not harder.
Do you guys think this is a problem? What do you think could be wrong? Or is there even anything wrong?
Steve

Just a thought, but their could be air in the PS system. You could try bleeding it at the Steering box!
Similar to bleeding brakes except you turn the steering wheel instead of the brakes! Duh! Obviously Delboy!:pat:

I'm assuming yours is the same as mine, but there is a little bleeding nipple on top of the steering box, you may not be able to see it with the battery in the way. Try page 341 of Chiltons toyota truck 89 - 91 if thats what you have.
