Boston Acoustic Subs

Since my old system was stolen I decided for my new setup to go for SQ over loudness..

Im thinking:

12" Boston Acoustic G512 Subwoofer which is 450 watts rms
12" Boston Acoustic GTR Passive radiator

No idea on an amp yet and im open for ideas..maybe infinity or alpine?

Im thinking about a box that is as flat as possible..about 7.2in deep...Doesnt matter if it takes up a bunch of space on the floor. As long as its not really visible by normal means...More than likely ill have bumpin' yota build and design my box..he did my last one and it kicked ass.

Any thoughts?

You need to get some major tie downs with locks built in to your next box.

yeah lock it down! my box if locked down in two places. good choice with the speakers. Boston is darn good. on amps i would have to say the alpine. i have had a lot of infinity stuff and they used to be really good but i have heard some bad things out of the new amps.

I heard some Boston G1's that sounded REAL good in a S10. Those are really thin subwoofers too. You should check into them.

If your old stereo and speakers were stolen; not to be rude but why would you post on the internet your new stereo equipment?

Well...there have been about 12 car robberies of the past 2.5 months in my area...All done in stolen cars.

I highly doubt this person is educated enough to know what a message board is...especially yotatech

because it is HIGHLY HIGHLY unlikely the perp is going to be from this site....

More likely it was one of his distant "buddies," or a friend of a friend, a 2 faced friend, or someone that heard him bumping and followed him....

The latter happens more than you think. When I was in Gainesville I got followed a lot after quadding out on my drive home. The nice thing was I lived off of about 5 miles of lime rock so I could loose them in the HUGE dust cloud I'd generate. Or I just start making random turns making 5 to 10 mile circles - that's the best way to find out if you are being followed...
